Key Personnel

Ellen Puccia, PhD
Executive Director

Ellen's expertise is all areas of qualitative research methods. Her research background includes educational issues, such as technical/vocational education, educational policy evaluation, and multicultural education; organizational culture, specifically high technology workplaces and the work of women; migrant and immigrant issues, especially involving education and work; child mental health, especially traumatic stress; sex and gender studies; and international tourism and development.

Terry Redding, MA
Communications Director

Along with 20 years of work in writing and editing in popular and professional publications, Terry has experience with international exchange programming, international population program evaluation, project management, and supervision of foster children in emergency settings. His specialties include web-based applications and methods, mass media, and cross-cultural communications. He has traveled to over 50 countries on six continents and has worked in several overseas locations.

Diane Haley, MPH
Evaluation Specialist

Diane draws upon more that 20 years of experience in conducting evaluation research. Her primary research focus has been issues of mental health, adolescent and child health, and sexual health.

Amy Fox McNulty, MA
Technical Advisor

Amy currently provides technical assistance to Beta as needed, while balancing other assignments and child-rearing duties. She draws upon deep experience in evaluation of many types of educational and social service programs and projects.



All of Beta's work is inspired by our first Research Director, Bill Goddard, whose extensive research background, intelligence, dedication, compassion, and commitment set the tone, not to mention a high bar, for Beta efforts.
